Enabling or Disabling Simultaneous Ringing on
Additional Phones
If you want additional phones (such as your cell phone, your home phone, or another external number)
to ring simultaneously with your assigned extension, you can configure the additional phones using the
ShoreTel Connect client, or your ShoreTel Connect administrator can configure this capability for you.
After these additional phones are configured, you can enable or disable simultaneous ringing for these
phones by using soft keys on your phone.
To enable simultaneous ringing for your additional phones, do one of the following:
Press the AddOn soft key, and then press the OK soft key.
Use the Options menu, as follows:
a. Press the Options soft key
b. Enter your voicemail password, and press the OK soft key.
c. Scroll down to the Additional phone option.
d. With the Additional phone option highlighted, press the Toggle soft key to enable
additional phones.
e. Press the Exit soft key.
To disable simultaneous ringing for your additional phones, do one of the following:
Press the AddOff soft key, and then press the OK soft key.
Use the Options menu, as follows:
a. Press the Options soft key
b. Enter your voicemail password, and press the OK soft key.
c. Scroll down to the Additional phone option.
d. With the Additional phone option highlighted, press the Toggle soft key to disable
additional phones.
e. Press the Exit soft key.
Moving a Call to Another Phone
If your phone is configured to ring simultaneously with additional phones (such as your cell phone,
your home phone, or another external number), you can easily move active calls from your assigned
extension to one of these phones, as long as your additional phones are enabled. For example, if you
are participating in a conference call, you can move the call from your desk phone to your cell phone
and leave the office, without disrupting the conference call.
