Customizing the Phone’s Audio Settings
If you want to change the audio gain for your phone’s handset or headset speaker or microphone, you
can adjust these values from your phone. You can also adjust the audio gain level for the phone’s
handsfree microphone and the sidetone audio gain level. (Sidetone refers to the sound of your own
voice that you hear in the earpiece as you’re speaking into the receiver. The proper sidetone gain level
keeps you from speaking too loudly into your microphone.)
Because these settings are part of your user profile, if you assign your extension to another phone,
your modified settings move to that phone.
