Using the Menus: Playback Mode
R TRIMMING
To create a cropped copy of a picture, play the
picture back and select RTRIMMING in the
playback menu (pg. 76).
1Use the zoom control to zoom in and out and
use the selector to scroll the picture until the
desired portion is displayed (to exit to single-
frame playback without creating a cropped
copy, press DISP/BACK).
BTip: Intelligent Face Detection
If the picture was shot with
Intelligent Face Detection (pg.
21), B will be displayed in the
monitor. Press the B button
to zoom in on the selected
face.
2Press MENU/OK. A confirmation dialog
will be displayed.
Copy size (0, 1, 2, or 3; see page 65)
is shown at the top; if the size is 3, OK is
displayed in yellow. When you crop (trim) an
image, the resulting image will be enlarged.
However, the more you crop, the resulting
image quality will be reduced; all copies have
an aspect ratio of 4:3.
3Press MENU/OK to save the cropped
copy to a separate file.
