^ B62 Select Output Format
Selects one of the four output formats described below.
ASCII Record Mode (^B62,1)
PollCat III will release one record, all records or a user specified number of records, depending
upon the implementation of Command ^B01. Each record consists of a line of ASCII text,
terminated by the End-of-Record character. Records can include a Line I.D. Number (^B59),
and can be sent in compressed or decompressed format (^B53). Records can also include CRC
ASCII Block Mode (^B62,2)
Data is released in ASCII blocks. The size of each block is determined by Command ^B80
(default = 512 bytes). Each block can include a Line I.D. Number (^B59), and can be sent in
compressed or decompressed format (^B53). Data blocks can also include CRC characters
Binary Block Mode (^B62,3)
Data is released in compressed binary blocks. Each 512 byte block contains a character count,
block header, and data followed by a two byte CRC check sum. Please refer to the PollCat
Advanced Programming Supplement (WTI Part No. 11998) for more information.
XMODEM Mode (^B62,4)
Allows data to be sent using XMODEM protocol. The Modem Port must be set to 8 bits, no
parity. For more information on XMODEM mode, please refer to the example in Section 9.2.4.

^B62,3 Binary Block Mode

^ B63 Enable / Disable CRC Option
Appends a two-byte CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) to the end of each data transfer. The
CRC check is used to make certain that data has been correctly transmitted and received. This
function is optional in either of the ASCII output formats, but is always enabled in Binary
Block Format. The CRC code will be appended to record transmissions only. Responses to
commands will not be followed by CRC codes.
Note: When CRC checking is used in either of the ASCII output formats, the
modem port should be set to eight bits, no parity in order to receive all bits of the
