9.1.1. Data Release Command Options
Command ^B01 offers several options which can be used to release specific types of data, or
manage and control the data release procedure. When Command ^B01 is invoked with options,
the following format is used:
^B01[,type][,source][@n][,n] [Enter]
Where:
,type The ,type argument offers the following options:
,A Release Alarm Records only.
,D Release Data Records only.
,clue Release Alarm Records for clue only.
,source The ,source argument offers the following options:
,PA Release records received via PBX Port A.
,PB Release records received via PBX Port B.
@n (Offset) Releases records starting with the "nth" record, where nis a positive,
whole number. For example, if ^B01@234 is entered, PollCat III will release
records, starting with the 234th record.
,n (Count) Releases records in groups of "n", where n is a positive, whole number.
For example, if ^B01,555 is entered, PollCat III will release records in
groups of 555.
Notes:
Square brackets are not included when the command option is entered. They are
shown here in order to indicate an option.
Each command option is preceded by a comma, with the exception of the Offset
command (@n). The Offset command is preceded by the "@" character. Do not
enter a comma before the "@" character.
The ,clue and ,source options are not available in the Binary Block Mode.
When the ASCII Block Mode or Binary Block Mode are selected, command
options will release blocks instead of individual records.
Once all specified records or blocks have been released, PollCat III will send the
"END DATA" message to the polling device.
Options can also be combined to enable Command ^B01 to release data in a manner that
combines several of the options described previously.
Examples:
·^B01,clue,n would release Alarm Records for the Alarm Clue named "clue" in groups
of nrecords.
·^B01,clue@n,n would release Alarm Records for the Alarm Clue named "clue"
starting with the nth record. In addition, records would be released in groups of n.
·^B01,clue,PA would release Alarm Records for the Alarm Clue named "clue" that
were received via PBX Port A.
