STAND-ALONE NILES VS-6 WITH IR AND RS-232 CONTROL
SYSTEM CONFIGURATION 1
1. Three component video sources are connected to Component Video Inputs 1,2 and 3.
2. Component Video Output 1 is connected directly to the component video input of TV/Monitor 3.
3. Balanced CAT-5 Outputs 2 and 3 are connected to Niles CAT-5 Component Video Baluns.
TV/Monitor 2 is connected to a Niles C5-HDDA, an outboard Balun mounted behind the monitor.
TV/Monitor 1 is connected to a Niles C5-HDDAWM, the wall-mount version of the C5-HDDA.
4. Shown are two control options for the VS-6. For IR control, a Niles WS110R wall-mount IR sensor
is connected to a Niles MSU140 Main System Unit and a Niles 3.5mm to 3.5mm accessory cable
(FG00933) is connected from one of the four Flasher Output connections of the MSU140 to the IR
Input connection of the VS-6. For RS-232 control, a third party control system is programmed to
send RS-232 control strings to the VS-6 over a RS-232 cable terminated with a male DB-9 connec-
tor plug. RS-232 control strings are listed in the Programming Section of this manual.
