Configuration Manager-Device Manager Script Details
Use the script details in the following table when customizing the scripts for your various
needs (for example, localization requirements).IMPORTANT: All of the files listed in the
table are part of the WES7 WFR3 image and are located in the C:\windows\setup folder.
For legacy WES7 builds, use the sysprep4man.zip that contains these files. For more
details on how to use sysprep4man, refer to the Readme.txt of the sysprep4man.zip.
The descriptions in the table address the following issues:
Usage: When is it involved - boot, image capture, deployment, post-deployment,
configuration, etc.
What it Does: Stop, start, disable, remove, etc.
How to Use: How to use it with Configuration Manager-Device Manager task
sequences, etc.
Customization Options: If applicable.
Limitations: If any or if applicable.
Item Description
Image:
C:\windows\setup\WES7_SCCM_Capture.bat
1. Usage: During image capture.
2. What it Does:
a. Stops netxclean (clientcleanup) service and sets
startup type to manual.
b. Stops Hagent service and sets startup type to
manual.
c. Disables flash.sys.
d. Removes Wyse RAM disk Z:.
e. Sets OS partition to active.
f. Sets logon to Administrator Autologon.
g. Places the
"C:\windows\setup\WES7_SCCM_AdminRunonce.
bat" in the Administrator run once registry key.
NOTE: All the above requirements are required for Wyse
WES7 builds only.
3. How to Use: See "Step 4: Prepare the Reference Thin
Client for Image Capture."
4. Customization Options: None.
5. Limitations: Must be executed manually.
Image:
C:\windows\setup\WES7_SCCM_AdminRunonce.bat
1. Usage: During image capture.
2. What it Does:
a. Stops SMS agent host and EDM write filter service.
b. Deletes Configuration Manager related certificates
and Configuration Manager configuration file.
c. Starts IIS admin service.
d. Starts SMS agent host service.
e. Places the "C:\windows\setup\ AdminSCCM.bat" in
the Administrator run once registry key.
NOTE: All the above requirements except point e) are
required for any WES7 builds. Point e) is also required (in
addition to the other points) for Wyse WES7 builds only.
3. How to Use: No Configuration required as it is
automatically triggered by Administrator Run once
registry.
4. Customization Options: None
5. Limitations: None.
