ALocalization Requirements:
Multilingual User Interface (MUI)
When planning for Multilingual User Interface Deployments for WES7, be aware that
Wyse Enhanced WES7 WFR3 builds support English only. After pushing MUI WDM
add-ons to Standard English builds, the built-in Administrator account name and other
language specific information (such as input locale, system locale, time zone, and so on)
will be changed based on the respective languages. Configuration Manager-related
Control Panel applets will not be changed and will remain in English. Therefore, the
following files must be edited on the noted machines (reference thin client and
Configuration Manager server) before image capture and deployment.
C:\windows\setup\Powershell_Wordpad.vbs - This file must be edited with the
appropriate local administrator account name on the reference thin client before image
capture. For example: For the French language, replace Administrator with
Administrateur.
C:\windows\setup\ fbwf_shortcut.vbs - This file must be edited with the appropriate
local administrator account name on the reference thin client before image capture.
For example: For the French language, replace Administrator with Administrateur.
C:\windows\setup\ sysprep.xml - This file must be copied to the Configuration
Manager server before image capture, it must be renamed to unattend.xml, and it
must be edited for language specific changes to create software packages for
Administrator Autologon as described in "Step 3: Create a Software Package for
Administrator AutoLogon." For example: For the French language, replace
Administrator with Administrateur.
Tip
You can use the contents of "Contents of the sysprep.xml File" for
convenience.
